Eli Kaunisvesi is a non-binary contemporary artist born in 1997. In their work they explore power structures, subjectivity and radical love. Inspired by queer theory, they study the performativity of the roles humans inhabit and the undesirable effects of adhering to a system that benefit a select few.

Through juxtaposing a strong symbolic expression, lively aesthetics and serious subject matter, their works encourage viewers to reflect on existential themes freely through their own associations.
